ALL THE THINGS WE DON'T KNOW

There are no straight answers in classical mythology. For every account that gives one set of genealogies or one ending to a story, four will sprout from the earth like dragon’s teeth to contradict it. For the purposes of comprehension and clarity, I have chosen to relate the versions of events that are a) most commonly accepted and repeated in 5th-century Athens and b) most fitting to the timeline and version of events outlined by Sophocles within his Theban cycle.
